Prince Naveen... Can I be your Crown Royal...

Okay, so this may seem a little kiddish, and down right unearthly to fathom how anyone could possibly be turned on by a cartoon character… while some people admire Barbie, Sailor moon, and ninja turtle muscles, I personally am a Prince Naveen Girl. I have to give Disney a thousand props for the amazing illustrations and representation for its characters in their new animated hit “The Princess and the Frog.”
Sadly, men like prince Naveen, are hard to find… I mean sure he had his moments where he was a philandering playboy, and more silly than serious; however he got it together and did something that so many men these days are very scared to do, which is… embrace a real strong woman. Not only was he NOT intimidated by her, he joined and supported her bringing his own strength and charisma. How could one not admire a man with a gorgeous smile, sexy accent, fun personality, and sense of style. I really don’t care where he’s from, but if Maldonia really exsist, I’m booking a one way ticket a.s.a.p.

A VIXEN ALWAYS LEAVES HER MARK.

Its been a while, and people have asked me heavily what’s the next move for miss jenius… its funny how people don’t see you out and about, that they assume you aren’t brainstorming and even working on your next master plan. I have been on hiatus, but trust and believe the Jenius Lab has been open for business. I cant spill the beans completely out the bag, however; I’m ready to exhibit my new branding…. But ill keep the kiddies waiting.
Trust me… it’s worth the wait.

Style Profile: Chanel Iman... the New Madmoiselle

This last year has been a year for African Americans to highlight their achievements and cross barriers. While it is no secret that the industry (fashion) hasn’t always been open to the likes of the more dark in complexion, every once and a while one of us slips through the cracks. Miss Iman (who ironically is named after a super model and major fashion house ) has made a mark as one of the notable working black models in the industry. She hard to miss, being plastered on ads, billboards, and commercials. It’s good to see a woman of color standing amongst the competition and reigning supreme. We love Chanel Iman, because she gives us grapefruit mimosa, while wearing Gucci Rush, Caribbean bronze, Egyptian musk, and Givenchy sandals, draped in David Arman Gold chains.

Android Gothika...She's Just a Metallic Girl

Who would of known that nearing the end of a decade, finally the fashion trends would steer more in to the “meet the jeffersons” futuristic garb? From Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Ciara, all representing the metropolis-esque android femme fatale… I mean sure, I never been a fan of shoulder pads, but some people prefer to look like they walked out of a spaceship singing “ET phone home”. I love style, individual style no matter how you hone it… but I have to admit the walking origami styled pieces are giving me a darker and edgier form of couture. I simply question is it a lack of originality or people just running out of ideas?
Until next time…
